Two Lessons for Easter from that Original Passover

Going back to that first Passover in Egypt when Moses freed the Hebrews from slavery points to two big lessons that apply today. Combining the Biblical text from Exodus 12 with a contemporary leadership exercise I used working with executives, offers tremendous insight into how an ancient story breathes fresh inspiration into our most important decisions today.

You’ve indeed brought forth the contemporary value of the Bible to our present day challenges— both personal and global. Excellent message. Thanks so very much.

Lovely powerful ideas! (Your discussion about being ready made me think of the parable of the ten virgins.) Happy Easter indeed! Hugs, Susan Peabody

I love this vlog and would love to have the transcript. Is signing up for Drop box the only way to have it?? I just dropped out of Drop Box. It was too complicating for me. Looks like Google or Apple are not working for me either.

The economy of readiness was evident with Jesus and his followers and many other Biblical figures. The key as you pointed out was to listen to the still small voice, and follow that direction. Thank you for that insight.

What a wonderful vlog this & every month! I loved the thought of being ready & listening for God’s direction to be at the ready to move as He directs us, wearing our travel clothes. And the thought of being ready to stop & start something in our lives is so refreshing. (It helps me with that unending closet cleaning project – ugghh!) Thank you, my dear Bible Teacher, for guiding me & making it easy & fun to learn new Bible stories as well as lessons from familiar stories. You make me see & think with fresh eyes &… Read more »

Madelon, thank you so much for this wonderful Bible lesson. I’m at a pivotal moment in my life and feel frozen in place. I will be contemplating this stop and start concept. Perhaps God was speaking to me through your vlog. Happy Easter!

Your words point out the universality of the challenges the world is facing. It’s as though there is a sole challenge — with many names, as it tries to build itself up and intimidate. A lecturer recently said as he travels the world he is more convinced we are all ONE flock. One flock, with One Shepherd, and a liar telling many lies…impotent. Thank you for putting these vlogs together. The Bible is powerful fuel. Easter, rebirth, renewal, blessings.
