About Madelon Maupin
Although Madelon Maupin's academic background includes both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Biblical Studies, it is probably her 35+ years in business and her strong emphasis on written and verbal communication that give BibleRoads its "punch." Madelon spent 15 years in the newspaper industry, cultivating a commitment to highly focused, content-rich presentation and a strong research background. Over the next 20 years she headed a leadership consulting firm in Los Angeles, where she worked with some of the film industry's top firms and developed a capacity for clear, direct verbal communication. Ever since closing her consulting firm, it has been Madelon's joy to focus full-time on BibleRoads.com, which allows her to combine all of her skills in the talks and workbooks she presents on Biblical topics. Madelon's goal is to help others unlock the Bible in a non-denominational way so that they can discover the Scriptures' spiritual meaning and application to their lives. By delving into the history, politics, geography, customs, and culture of all the Biblical periods and books, she aims to enable readers and listeners to dive deep into these subjects themselves so they can find their own spiritual answer.
Thanks again for the right message at the right time.
So good…I hope you send it to the periodicals.
Thank you, so insightful and practical.
This is a wonderful expression of God’s presence no matter what the picture looks like in the world right now. You mentioned two things that came to me: 1) mirages- how they appear real but aren’t and 2) God’s phone number in Isaiah 65:24 which gives comfort to know God will answer that call. I’m grateful for all the videos you are doing. Thank you so very much.
Thank you Madelon! Talk about human/divine coincidence—this vlog came as I was/am still standing in line at Costco, NOT to get TP, bleach, paper towels or water but hickory smoked bacon! Others within a 6’ earshot got to hear this. BTW do you know the old southern hymn Open Mine Eyes That I May See? Really fits with your message. I awakened this morning hearing an old Southern Baptist hymn called In Times Like These. What an inspiration! The lyrics are available online. I emailed Glenda to request that she play this hymn tonight and she just replied in the… Read more »
Thanks Madelon! Knowing we are loved, protected and cared for, removes fear!
My spiritual sense tells me you and your podcast are angels, uplifting world belief with hope and logical (!) messages from God! Thank you, Madelon😊💕
Thank you for this wonderful message of God’s constant presence and protection
I have been working on “what we see.” This is very helpful, Madelon. I am so glad you said that the world is hearing our prayers. Thank you.
Thank you for a positive line of thinking to brighten our day and help us through this time of unfamiliar situations.
Thanks for the vlog to help us through this shelter-in-place. Listened to it all and will replay too.
Thank you for this message. It is a great help.
Thank you so much Madelon. What you shared in this Volg reminded me of a solo I sang years ago when I was a soloist. The title of the solo is “Right where I am” and the first verse says “Turning to God in prayer, I find good everywhere. I see God’s loving care, right where I am.” And that is what Elisha saw right where he was. He saw God’s loving care and that is what we need to see, right now, right here.
And I agree with what Lona said, hope you send this to the periodicals.
Thank you for taking the time to do this second vlog. These are great ideas and I appreciate your comments.
Blessings to you. Sue
Just amazing work, Madelon! Blessings to all!
Hello, friend. Good piece. As I said before, it’s very nice to see and hear you through this manner. Love you.
I loved the idea of prayer of perception. The vlogs have been so helpful. Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful story. We all need to turn to God and feel his ever-present Love and guidance.
Thank you so very much! Great ideas and references not only for myself but to freely share with others.
Thank you. I loved this inspiring vlog.
Madelon. I really enjoyed seeing what you see. I am a servant! Thanks for sharing!
This was just what I needed to hear today. I am about to go to sleep for the night and can ponder on your story about Elisha and his servant and how we need to see what God sees today, right now.
Thank you so much Madeline. That is very appropriate and helpful.
Thank you! This one of my favorite Bible stories!
I really needed to listen to it at this time!
Be still and (know) that I am God! A lot of chatter going
on, need to be still and know God’s love touches all!
So great to see and hear you especially at this disconcerting time. I loved the idea that the army doesn’t need to be a real human army surrounding us, but a “virus” army and that through that “prayer of perception” that Elisha exemplified, we too can really “see” the truth that surrounds us. We are spiritual and not material. We can change “things into thoughts” especially when we are given the gift of “seclusion” to study and ponder God’s laws.
Thank you for this vlog.
[…] Madelon Maupin has done this video about prayer to get the perception that God is already on the field WITH US. […]
Oh Madelon, what a treat to carve out time to sit with you and your vlog today as Gary and I pray for ourselves, our church, our nation, and our world. Prayer of Perception is a wonderful description of what Elisha was asking and will inspire our prayers. Thank you for taking the time to share your inspiriation.
