Wow, Madelon! How timely – both for the world and for me. I have just finished tonight’s Wednesday night lesson on the need for spiritually understanding the Scriptures. Your comments are so appreciated and blend so well with the message I found to share with my congregation. Thank you so much!

Thank you! So very timely, so well articulated. If we don’t feel God’s goodness in charge in our hearts first, we may feel overwhelmed by evil. And you have shown how to find the nature of God’s supreme goodness in the Scriptures, and the importance of being faithful to that view.

It’s so comforting to know that as Bible shows us, “evil does not have the last word.” I love that! So grateful for all I found in the Bible for my Wednesday readings last night on how we need not be overcome of evil because as You said, God, good is supreme. Lots of examples of that for us to turn to. Thank you.

When asked how I can stay calm with all the upheaval in the world today I reply, “I’ve read the last chapter of Revelation – so I know how the story ends!!” 😊❤️
There’s nothing new under the sun, it’s ALL in the Bible!!
Love your reminders, Madelon!!

Dear Madelon – I remain grateful, humbly so. Thank you for your years of cherishing the Bible’s inspiring and healing messages, and for willingly sharing that dear bought wisdom. Your Oct. message reminds me of Abraham Lincoln’s tumultuous presidency during the Civil War. Jon Meacham’s book: And There Was Light details a particular experience when the Northern armies lost battle after battle. Lincoln, fearing the American people might become even more fractured than they already were, locked himself into a room to pray on the eve of the battle of Gettysburg. Lincoln earnestly turned to God in consecrated prayer for… Read more »

I love this message, Madelon. I have been working with the thought of true governance almost daily. After reading news of our country and the world I have to sit down with books (the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy’s writings) to be reminded of the true nature of man’s being and that infinite Love prevails. Thank you for this reminder.
